George Hunka was born in Philadelphia in 1962. He received his BA degree in Languages and Literature from Bard College in 1983. His plays include Snow’s Day and What She Knew, and his book Word Made Flesh: Philosophy, Eros and Contemporary Tragic Drama was published by Eyecorner Press in 2011.

His writing has also appeared in a variety of publications over the years, including The New York Times and The Guardian (UK). He lives with his wife Marilyn Nonken and his two daughters in New York City, and he can be reached at geh@panix.com.
