George Hunka was born in 1962 in Philadelphia and earned his BA degree in Languages and Literature from Bard College in 1983. His writing has appeared in a variety of publications, including The New York Times, the Guardian (UK), Time Out New York, and American Theatre. He currently lives on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with his wife and their two children.

George is also an active member of Philadelphia’s Pen and Pencil Club, the oldest surviving private press club in the country. He can be reached at geh@panix.com, and you can find him on Facebook here.
